As part of the human resource development activities in Bioinformatics, the Bioinformatics Centre (Distributed Information Centre, sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India) at North-Eastern Hill University offers Traineeship & Studentship in Bioinformatics. Applications are invited for the selection of Traineeship & Studentship for undertaking advanced training and project work in the area of Bioinformatics.
Traineeship: Applicants possessing PG degree in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Biochemistry/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Life Science are eligible for Traineeship. A monthly stipend of Rs. 5000/- shall be awarded for a period of three months, which may be extendable for another three months.
Studentship: Those pursuing PG degree in above-mentioned area of studies are eligible for Studentship. A monthly stipend of Rs. 3000/- shall be awarded for a period of three months only.
The duly filled in application in prescribed format should be submitted to The Deputy Coordinator, Bioinformatics Centre, North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong 793022 by September 15, 2011 in the prescribed format which is available at http://bicnehu.ac.in/.
