United Bank of India invites applications from male sportspersons for its team in Football, Cricket & Table Tennis in Officer & Clerical cadre. Applications are also invited from Boxers, Wrestlers & Athletes in Clerical Cadre.

01.Officer(Footballer -2, Cricketer -2, Table Tennis player -1)
Qualification:
Graduate from any recognized University. Sports Qualification : Should have represented the country in Cricket/ Football/Table Tennis in international events or won Arjuna Award/ Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award or
represented the state in Football/ Cricket/ Table Tennis (Senior/ Under 22/
Under 19) National Tournaments like Santosh Trophy / Dr. B C Roy Trophy/
M Dutta Roy Trophy, Ranji Trophy /Vijay Hazare Trophy / C K Nayudu Trophy/ Senior National TT Championship, Junior and youth National TT Championship etc. with
distinction continuously for at least 4 Years .
02.Clerks(Footballer- 6, Cricketer -6, Boxer- 1, Wrestler-1 &Athlete ( Track runner) -1)
Qualification:
Passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent from a recognized University.
Sports Qualification : Should have represented the State Cricket/
Football/Table Tennis/Boxing/Wrestling Athletics in National events organized by AIFF & BCCI (Senior/ Under 22/ Under 19) like Santosh Trophy / Dr. B C Roy Trophy/ M Dutta Roy Trophy, Ranji Trophy /Vijay Hazare Trophy / C K Nayudu Trophy/ All India Inter- Bank / Inter Institutional Table Tennis Championship , Senior /Junior National
TT Championship with distinction or represented his university in Football/
Cricket/TT/ Boxing/Wrestling Athletics in All India Inter-varsity event
recognized by AIFF & BCCI (like Rohinton Barua Trophy/TTFI etc.)
SELECTION PROCEDURE :
The selection will be made on the basis of performance of the candidates in the interview and on-Field Trials. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms will not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Depending on the number of applications received , the Bank reserve the right to call only the required number of candidates after preliminary screening with reference to their educational qualifications ,suitability, sports qualification /experience age ,etc. The short listed candidates will be called for interview and on Field Trials. Selection process may vary depending upon the level of responses received against each post.
HOW TO APPLY:
i) Applicants are first required to go to the Bank’s website and click on the Home Page and open the link ’Recruitment’. Thereafter open the notification for Recruitments of Sportsperson
ii) Take a Printout of the ‘Deposit Challan’ and application format.
iii) Fill in the Deposit Challan in a clear and legible handwriting in BLOCK LETTERS.
iv) Go to the nearest United Bank Branch with the Challan and pay, in Cash, the appropriate Application Fee in CBS Account no. 0389050194433 The details of fee to be paid is indicated below :
v) In case a candidate chooses to pay fees through NEFT ( IFSC Code :UTBI0 OCH175)---Go to the Nearest branch of any Bank and pay the appropriate application fee in Account no. 0389050194433 with Old Court House Street Branch . Fill in the NEFT receipt in a Clear and legible hand writing
vi) Obtain the Applicant’s Copy of Counterfoil of the deposit challan duly receipted by the Bank with (a) Branch Name & Branch SOL ID (b) Transaction ID and (c) Deposit Date.
vii) Candidates are now required to apply as per application format available in Bank’s Website.
viii) Application form should be carefully filled in. The details of application fees as required in the application form is available in the Deposit Challan. A recent photograph should be pasted on the application with signature across it. All other required details as mentioned therein should be filled in correctly.
ix) Application Form complete in all respects should be sent by Registered / Speed post only in a closed envelope supersribed as ‘ APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF MALE SPORTS PERSON IN UNITED BANK OF INDIA’ to The Asstt General Manager (H.R.M),United Bank Of India, Head Office, H.R.M. Department, UNITED TOWER,12th Floor,11 Hemanta Basu Sarani,Kolkata-700001 to reach latest by 29.09.2012.
