Qualification:
(i) Master?s Degree in Botany with 55% marks or equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale. (ii) A pass in CSIR-UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline. (iii) Holders of Ph.D., degree in Botany shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Desirable: Specialization in Plant Taxonomy/ Plant Systematics/ Plant Biodiversity 

(i) Master?s Degree in Botany with 50% marks or equivalent grade in the seven point scale. (ii) A pass in CSIR-UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline. (iii) Holders of Ph.D., degree in Botany shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET. Desirable: Specialization in Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry

(i) Master?s Degree in Botany with 55% marks or equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale. (ii) A pass in CSIR-UGC NET/SLET/SET in the relevant discipline. Desirable: Specialization in Ecosystem and Habitat studies/ Productivity/ Population Interaction (Microbes, Plant and Animal)

Application Fee : 
Application forms can be obtained in person from the Registrar on requisition accompanied by a crossed Demand Draft to the value of Rs.500/- and 250/- for SC/ST candidates (non-refundable) towards the cost of application and registration fees. However, SC/ST applicants should produce an attested copy of the Community Certificate obtained from the competent authority to avail themselves for concession. To obtain application by post, candidates should also send a self-addressed stamped envelope (25x12 cm) to the value of Rs.40/- along with the Demand Draft.

The envelope containing the filled in application superscribed on the left hand corner as "Application for the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of -----------------" should be sent to "The Registrar, Periyar University, Periyar Palkalai Nagar, Salem-636 011, Tamil Nadu, India" either by Registered post or submitted in person, so as to be received in this office on or before 18.04.2013 up to 5.45 p.m.
