Qualification:
(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Mathematics from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. (iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities /Colleges/Institutions

(Natural Products Chemistry)
Qualification:
(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned university with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Chemistry from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.(ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. (iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) to this Clause, candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.
Assistant Professor
(University Science Instrumentation Centre (USIC)
Qualification:
A minimum of 55% of marks in M.Sc.(Electronics / Instrumentation / Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication / Applied Electronics) or M.Sc. (Applied Physics) with specialization in Electronics and qualifying in NET or in accredited test (SLET/SET) or M.E. / M.Tech (Electronics / Instrumentation) and related fields and qualifying in GATE. Candidates with Ph.D. in any of the above disciplines, obtained the Ph.D. following the 2009 UGC Regulations are exempted from NET / SLET / SET.
Application shall be addressed to the Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University, Palkalai Nagar, Madurai – 625 021 with a copy to the Vice-Chancellor (by designation only) in the prescribed format in 8 copies from the eligible candidates superscribing on the Envelope “Application for the Post of __”. Applications need to be sent along with a Demand Draft, drawn on any nationalized bank, for Rs: 500/- (Rs: 250/- for SC/ST candidates) in favor of “The Registrar, Madurai Kamaraj University” payable at Madurai. The last date for submission of filled in application is 06.03.2013 before 5.45 p.m.
