(b) Sailing experience * of two years ** at Management level within the meaning of STCW Convention in force and
(c) Ten years experience in teaching /Industry/ship board in marine related fields.

A Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or with 55% marks at Master’s Degree in the related subjects and experience of ten years in teaching, research and / or relevant industry, out of which at least five years at the level of Associate Professor/ or equivalent grade.
The prescribed qualification and experience are minimum requirements and the fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for interview or being selected. IMU reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview on the basis of qualification and experience higher than the minimum prescribed, as decided by the Screening Committee/s. Call letters for attending interview will be sent only to the short-listed candidates.
Selection will be made on the basis of candidates’ previous record and their performance in the interview. The IMU may utilize seminar/colloquium and/or any other mode as a method of selection.
