Indian Air Force offers opportunities for unmarried male Indian citizens from Thiruvananthapuram District of State of Kerala, Mahe (Union Territory of Puducherry) and Union Territories of Lakshadweep to become an airman. The Recruitment Test for Group „Y‟ (Non-Technical) {For Auto Technician and Indian Air Force (Police)} Trades will be held at Dr. Chandrasekharan Nair Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) from 21 January 2012 to 24 January 2012 as per the Selection Programme given below.

SELECTION PROGRAMME. The Recruitment Test will be conducted from 7 AM onwards every day as per the details given below. Candidates reporting up to 10 AM at the Rally Venue will only be permitted to appear in the Recruitment Test.

Written Test and Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for Group „Y‟ (Non-Technical) {For Auto Tech and IAF (P)} trades.
Interview and Medical Examination of candidates passed Written Test and PFT on 21 January 2012.

Group „Y‟ {For Auto Tech and IAF (P)} trades involve jobs like.
(a) Auto Technician As an Automobile Technician you will carry out minor repair, service, maintain and drive all types of vehicles, cranes and automobiles.
(b) Indian Air Force (Police) As an Indian Air Force (Police) your responsibilities involves assuming police duties and investigation of offence. You are also in-charge of maintenance of security.
