Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology or CIPET is the only institute of its kind in whole India. It offers education based on designing, tooling, processing and testing of plastics and like this, it provide qualified manpower to plastic industries. CIPET was formed in 1968 by the Government of India under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers. Its head quarter is located at Chennai. It cater to the manpower needs of the plastic industries.



CIPET need dedicated and talented professionals for various positions in its centres at Aurangabad, Imphal and Chennai. Only Indian Nationals with the required qualifications can apply by sending an application form in a prescribed format. Last date for Aurangabad region is 2nd January 2012, while last date for the receipt of application in Imphal region is 6th January 2012 and for Chennai Region it is 12th January 2012. All the vacancies are on contract basis.

Position in Imphal region,

Senior Technical Assistant in the department of design, tool room CAD/ CAM under the pay scale of Rs.9300-34800/- with GP Rs.4200/-.

For this post, candidates should posses 4 years of degree of BE/ B.Tech along with minimum 2 years of experience in the field of CAD/ CAM/ CAE and tool room area.

2 posts are for Lecturer in Physics and Chemistry. For this post, candidates should be post graduate in teh relevant subject with experience.

4 vacancies are for the post of Technician Grade III in Testing, Processing, Tool Room and Design/ CAD/CAM. Candidates applying for this post should posses diploma/ post diploma in the relevant field with minimum 2 years of experience.
Vacancies in Chennai region,

Posts are vacant for Pool Scientists and Research Associates. Ph.D degree in Polymer/ Plastics/ Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2-3 years of experience is required for both the positions.
