SPM fellowship is awarded for pursuing PhD in basic and inter-disciplinary
sciences. It is aimed at nurturing budding scientific talent willing to pursue
intellectually challenging research work as their PhD topic.
Applications for SPMF-2011 selections in Chemical, Life, Earth, Maths
and Physical Sciences are invited from:
Top 5 GATE score holders in each of the above disciplines, of the
current year 2011.
Top 3 students in each of the above disciplines of integrated MS
programme of IISERs, of the current year 2011.
B. Tech IIT graduates of current year 2011 with CGPA 9.5 & above
B. Tech students of IIT who have completed 3rd year with 9.5 CGPA &
above
Fellowship: Rs 20,000/-pm for first two years and Rs. 24,000/-pm for
remaining three years (conditions apply) and Contingency grant of Rs
70,000/-pa.
Age: Not more than 28 years as on 01.01.2011.
Selections for the above will be done on the basis of interview to be held in
New Delhi on 23-24.07.2011.
Application form may be downloaded from HRDG website at
www.csirhrdg.res.in and duly filled-in form may be submitted by 29.06.2011
to Scientist-In-Charge, EMR-I, HRD Group, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue,
Pusa, New Delhi -110 012.
The list of eligible applicants will be displayed on our website on or before
01.07.2011.
The names along with the roll numbers of CSIR-UGC NET awardees of
June and December 2010 who are found eligible for SPMF 2011 selections
have already been displayed on our website.
