ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the position of Field Investigators, to be based at the selected villages of Andhra Pradesh in India in its project on “Tracking Change in Rural Poverty in Household and Village Economies in South Asia”. This is a nationally recruited position.

Requirements:
- Post-graduate in Agricultural Economics, or any other Agricultural Discipline/Agri-Business Management/Economics/Sociology, with Graduate in Agricultural Science and rural background. (Preference will be given to the candidates experienced in working in the rural area and with previous experience of farm household survey)
- Applicants should have excellent communication skills in spoken and written local language of Telugu and in English, and also being able to communicate in Hindi is desirable).
- The applicant should have an inclination to the rural setting and be willing to stay in the village.
- The applicant should be a good team player with public relation skills.
- Experience in undertaking socio-economic surveys in rural areas, good knowledge in application of basic computer software (MS word, excel), and analyzing socioeconomic survey
- Previous experience in analysis of socioeconomic data is desirable.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in computer skills (MS - Office).
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Good team player and adaptable to working in multicultural team.
