Post:

Social Scientist in the grade of Principal Scientist in Chennai

Qualification:

1. Ph.D in Economics with minimum 5 years of experience*
2. Strong capabilities in conducting primary surveys
3. Strong skills in data analysis, tabulation and report preparation
4. Knowledge of statistical packages
5. Willingness to travel.

*Candidates with Masters Degree and exceptional credentials and track record are also encouraged to apply

Social Scientist – Gender at Chennai
Qualification and Experience:

• Master’s degree in social sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Gender Studies, Women’s studies, Social Work,  Rural Development, Rural Management  etc.)
• A minimum of three years’ experience in   implementing field level programmes and gender related work in agriculture and Natural Resource Management will be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of Results-Based Management orientation and practices.
• Good analytical, writing and research skills
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with interdisciplinary team members and partners

Research Director (Agriculture)

 Qualification and Experience:

• Ph.D in Agriculture.
• Senior Agricultural Scientists/ Professionals with a minimum of 12 years of work experience at research and field level.
• Demonstrated experience of working with and managing multidisciplinary programmes and teams; Peer-reviewed publications;
• Knowledge and experience in post-harvest management and value chain processes will be an added advantage.
• Proven research and project management skills, experience of capacity development and understanding of gender mainstreaming in agriculture are requisites.
• A range of contacts with relevant research and policy institutions and people is desirable.
• Applications are encouraged from working scientists on deputation. Although this is a contractual employment for 5 years, MSSRF is keen to retain good talent for its various projects
