Goa PSC - Assistant Lecturers/ Neurophysiologist / Junior Surgeon

Applications are invited by the Commission for the below mentioned posts. The last date for receipt of applications in the office of the Commission is 29.11.2012.




Post:
Assistant Lecturers
(i) Anatomy
(ii) Anesthesiology
Qualification:
(i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualification) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of Section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani. 

Desirable:  (i) Registered for Post-Graduate Degree in concerned speciality. (ii) Knowledge of Marathi. 

Clinical Neurophysiologist
Qualification:
(i) Post Graduate Degree i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Neurology) or Doctor of Medicine (Medicine) or Doctor of Medicine (Physiology) or Doctor of Medicine (Paediatrics) (ii) Knowledge of Konkani. 

Desirable:  (i) Experience in Clinical Neurophysiology (ii) Knowledge of Marathi. 

Junior Surgeon
Directorate Of Health Services
Qualification:
(i) A recognised Medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part II of the Third Schedule (other than Licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (102 of 1956) Holders of educational qualifications included in Part II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the said Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. (ii) Post-graduate degree, failing which post-graduate diploma,in the speciality concerned. (iii) In case of Diploma holders, work in responsible position connected with the speciality concerned for 2 years after post graduation Diploma. (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. 

Desirable:  Knowledge of Marathi.

Assistant Professors
Mechanical Engineering
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
Qualification:
(i)B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. in relevant branch from a recognized University with First Class or equivalent either in B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. (ii) Knowledge of Konkani. Note: For the above purpose, relevant means the branch in which the post is to be filled up or such other branch where there is demonstrative evidence of likeness of subject matter covered. 

Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi. 

Assistant Professor
(Humanities & Science–(English & Communication 
Skill)
Qualification:
(i) Good academic record with First Class at M.Sc. level for Lecturer in Science or at M.A. level for Lecturer in Humanities. Requirement of National Eligibility Test may be relaxed for candidates having first class at Master’s level. Or (i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average at the Master’s Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University and candidates should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professors conducted by the University Grants Commission, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, or similar test accredited by the University Grants Commission (iv) Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: (i) Knowledge of Marathi.


. Incomplete applications in any manner are liable to be rejected summarily by 
the Commission. 
 . “The upper age limit shown against each post is relaxable upto 5 years for the 
candidates belonging to SC/ST, upto 3 years for candidates belonging to OBC, 
upto 5 years (total 10 years for SC/ST & 8 years for OBC in respect of posts 
reserved for them) to blind, deaf-mute and orthopedically handicapped person 
and upto 5 years for CFF.  Age is also relaxable for Government Servants upto  
years as per the instructions issued by the Government from time to time”. 
  In case of non-availability of suitable candidates with the knowledge of 
Konkani, for the posts in professional colleges, Consultants in Directorate of 
Health Services and highly technical/scientific posts, this requirement can be 
relaxed.
