Essential Educational Qualification : 10 + 2 with Science subjects followed by First Class Diploma in
Chemical Engineering / Petrochemical Engineering / Chemical Technology / equivalent of 3 years fulltime
duration  (2/2.5 years full time duration in cases of lateral admission after 10+2 if applicable)  or  its
equivalent.

Technical  Assistant, Mechanical Engineering
Essential Educational Qualification: 10 + 2 with Science subjects followed by First Class Diploma in
Mechanical Engg/Tech.  of 3 years fulltime duration  (2/2.5 years full time duration in cases of lateral
admission after 10+2 if applicable) or its equivalent.

Technical Assistant, Electrical Engineering
Essential Educational Qualification: 10 + 2 with Science subjects followed by First Class Diploma in
Electrical Engg /Tech. of 3 years fulltime duration  (2/2.5 years full time duration in cases of lateral
admission after 10+2 if applicable) or its equivalent

Technical Assistant, Library and Information Science
Essential Educational Qualification: First Class B.Sc. (Sci.) with B.Lib.Sc.

Technical Officer
Essential Educational Qualification:  BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Chemical/Production  Engineering or
Chemical Technology with 55% marks.

Technical Officer, Mechanical Engineering/Polymer Engineering
Essential Educational Qualification:  BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical/Polymer Engineering with
55% marks

Technical Officer, Civil Engineering
Essential Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Civil Engineering with 55% marks.

Technical Officer, Planning
Essential Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech or equivalent in any branch of engineering with 55%
marks.

Technical Officer, Technical Services
Essential Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology with
55% marks.


The prescribed application forms together with instructions may be obtained free of cost from the
Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Gijubhai Badheka Marg, Bhavnagar  – 364 002
(Gujarat), by sending a requisition along with a self-addressed duly stamped envelope [(worth Rs.10/-)(size
11" X 5")] which should reach Section Officer(R&A) Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute,
Gijubhai Badheka Marg, Bhavnagar - 364 002 (Guj.) on or before 17.12.2012.  The application form can
also be downloaded from the Institute web site: www.csmcri.org. Duly completed applications accompanied
by attested copies of the certificates/testimonials in support of age, educational Qualification, experience,
caste etc., along with a non- refundable fee of Rs.100/- (Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Physically
Handicapped candidates & regular employees of CSIR are exempted from payment of application fee) in
the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Director, CSMCRI, Bhavnagar payable at any of the
Nationalised Bank at Bhavnagar should  reach the  Administrative Officer,  CSIR-Central Salt & Marine
Chemicals Research Institute, Gijubhai Badheka Marg, Bhavnagar - 364 002 (Guj.) by 11.01.2013. SC / ST / Physically Handicapped candidates should enclose a copy of certificate on the prescribed proforma issuedby the competent authority in support of their claim along with application form. Candidates should
specifically note that the applications received after the closing date for any reason whatsoever (such as
envelopes wrongly addressed, delivered elsewhere, postal delay, etc.), will not be entertained. No
representation in this regard will be entertained.
