for admission to Ph.D.programme in the following disciplines for the
academic session 2012-13:

QUALIFICATION: An Overall Credit Point Average (OCPA) of 7.00
(out of 10.00) or 70% marks or equivalent at Master’s level in the
respective or related discipline and an OCPA of 5.50 (out of 10.00) or
55% marks or equivalent at the Bachelor’s level. 5% marks are reduced
for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Note : Ph.D. students will be sent for studying one semester to other universities/institutes during the 1st Semester (within 15 calendar days) from the start of the semester of their admission from the departments/disciplines of Agronomy, Entomology, Soil Science, Microbiology, Horticulture (Fruit Science), Horticulture (Vegetable Science), Foods & Nutrition.
The prospectus alongwith application form containing details about the admission procedure, reservation of seats, etc. can be obtained from the Additional Director of Communication, Centre for Communication and International Linkages, Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, either by sending Bank Draft for Rs. 1290/- drawn in his favour and payable at any scheduled Bank at Ludhiana or personally at the counter on a payment of Rs. 1210/- in cash from 9.30 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on all working days. The Prospectus alongwith application forms will be sent by post. The University will not be responsible for postal delay or loss in transit. The application form can also be downloaded from University website and submitted alongwith its cost i.e. Rs. 1290/- and also the required fees for entrance test Rs. 2145/- in the shape of bank demand draft drawn in the favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana. The last dates for the receipt of applications in the office of the Registrar is 19.10.2012 without late fee and 26.10.2012 with late fee of Rs. 1000/-.
Incomplete applications/applications received without entrance test fee or the applications received after the prescribed date shall not be entertained.
