Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, an Institute of National importance, is looking for suitable
persons for the following positions
Post:
1. INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER (MULTIMEDIA)
Qualifications & Experience :
A Graduate Engineer from a reputed college (preferably Electronics / Instrumentation) with
minimum three years work experience handling multimedia equipments like PCs, LCD and other
Projectors, Audio Units for use in Seminar Rooms, Lecture Theaters and large Auditoriums. The
person is required to take independent charge of all such multimedia installations, maintain their
inventory and quality upkeep so that all these installed units function as per design. The incumbent
person is also required to administer the booking and general upkeep of the facilities that will be
eventually be placed under his charge.
Age limit : Below 35 years
2. AIRCONDITIONING ENGINEER
Qualifications & Experience :
A Graduate Engineer from a reputed college with Mechanical Engineering / Airconditioning
systems specialization, to take charge of running various HVAC systems in various locations like
convention centre, lecture theaters, institute auditoriums and other institute utilities which are
provided with aircon systems. The incumbent will actively ensure proper running of the assigned
HVAC facilities, ensure their timely maintenance and also optimize their performance to ensure
lower operating costs within acceptable comfort levels. The person will also ensure maintenance of
a very wide range of room ACs fitted by the institute in various offices and laboratories through
vendors who are contracted for AMC. The person will also administer the booking and general
upkeep of the facilities that will be placed under his charge.
Age limit : Below 35 years
1. Posts are on contract basis.
2. Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates is applicable as per rules.
3. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
4. Persons employed in government and semi-government organization or Educational Institution must apply through proper channel. To avoid delay an advance copy of such application, complete in all respect, may be sent super-scribing on the top of the application, “ADVANCE COPY”
5. The applications received in response to advertisement will be scrutinized and short-listed candidates only will be called for interview. Merely fulfilling the requirements laid down in the advertisement will not automatically entitle any candidate to be called for interview.
