Islands to fill up the post of Lower Grade Clerk in the establishment of the Science Centre, Port Blair (A
Society under A & N Administration). The details of post, essential educational qualification, scheme of
written test etc. required are as under:

Lower Grade Clerk
Essential Qualification
i) Pass in senior secondary school certificate examination (XIIth Std.) or equivalent from a recognized
Board/University and qualify in written examinationconducted by duly constituted selection Committee.
ii) Should be able to type 25 w.p.m. in Hindi or 30 w.p.m. in English.
Age limit for direct Recruitment :
18-33 years for Male and 18-38 for female candidates.(Relaxation of age will be in accordance with the instructions
or orders issued by the central Govt.)
Selection of Candidate
The selection will be based on the marks obtained by thecandidates both in Interview (15%) and in written Examination-cum-Computer Typing Skill test (85%).
Candidates will be short-listed for interview based on their performances in the Written Examination and Computer
Typing Skill Test in the ratio of 1:6 i.e. for each post 6 candidates will be short-listed for interview.
Closing date/Address to which application to be sent
The last date for receipt of application is 31/10/2012. The applications duly complete in all respect along with attested copies of relevant certificates be sent addressed to the Curator, Science Centre, Goodwill Estate, Corbyn’s Cove Road, Shadipur, Port Blair, PIN – 744106
1. Candidates eligible for the above post may apply in the prescribed format.
2. Attested copies of certificates such as educational qualifications, proof of age, employment registration card etc. need to be attached while submitting application.
3. In case of any candidate found misleading, his candidature will summarily be rejected from the merit list.
4. The incomplete or unsigned applications shall be rejected. Application received after the closing date will not be entertained under any circumstances.
5. 2 Nos. recent passport size photographs may be enclosed alongwith the application of which one copy be
pasted on the application duly attested.
