Cochin Shipyard Ltd - Apprentices (Certificate Course (ITI)

Cochin Shipyard Limited, a Mini Ratna Company of Government of India, proposes induction of ITI Trade Apprentices for one / two years training as stipulated under the Apprentices Act 1961 in the following trades:-



Trade:
1.Electrician
2.Fitter
3.Welder
4.Machinist
5.Electronic Mechanic
6.Instrument Mechanic
7.Draftsman (Mechanic)
8.Painter (General)
9.Mechanic (Motor Vehicle)
10.Sheet Metal Worker
11.Shipwright Wood
12.Mechanic Diesel
13.Fitter Pipe

Qualification:
Pass in SSLC and ITI (NCVT) certificate in the respective trade securing minimum of 60% of marks from a recognised ITI.

Age Limit :18 to 25 years as on 31 Aug 2012.

Agreement:
The Selected candidates will have to execute necessary contract to be registered with
Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training, Chennai, as the case may be, under the Apprentices Act., 1961 as amended from time to time.

Method of Selection:
The method of selection will be based on the marks secured in the SSLC examination,
ITI marks and a Personal Interview held at Cochin Shipyard Ltd, Kochi.

i) Those fulfilling the prescribed age and qualification requirements may please log on to www.cochinshipyard.com and download the application format given under link
“careers” and submit the duly filled in application affixing a recent passport size
photograph, to The Deputy General Manager (HR), Cochin Shipyard Ltd, P O Bag
No. 1653, Perumanoor P O, Kochi-682015 so as to reach latest by 31 Aug 2012. The
envelope containing the application must be superscribed on top as "Application for
selection as Trainees under the Apprentices Act.
ii) Applications not in the prescribed format, incomplete applications, applications
without the required certificates, more than one application from a candidate and
application against seats/trades not mentioned in this advertisement will be
rejected and no communication will be entertained in this regard.
iii) Last date for receipt of application 31 Aug 2012. Applications received after the stipulated date will not be considered. Cochin Shipyard will not be responsible for any postal delay/loss in transit in submission of application within the specified time.
