Scientist ‘B’
Qualification :
(i) First Class Master’s Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics from a recognized University Or 2 nd class M.Sc. with Ph.D. degree in Statistics/Biostatistics from a recognized University. Desirable qualification:(i) Doctorate Degree in Statistics/Biostatistics from a recognized University for candidates with First Class relevant degree. (ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in medical/health subjects in recognized Institute(s). (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
MBBS Degree recognized by MCI or First Class M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University or Second Class M.Sc. Degree with Ph.D.
Degree in (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University. Desirable qualificationi. MD or Doctorate Degree in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University for candidates with First Class relevant degree.
ii. Additional Post Doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects from recognized Institute(s). iii. Knowledge of Computer Applications.
First Class M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University or Second Class M.Sc. Degree with Ph.D. Degree in (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University. Desirable qualification:(i) Doctorate Degree in Chemistry (Organic/Analytical/Biochemistry) from a recognized University for candidates with First Class relevant degree. (ii) Additional Post Doctoral research/teaching experience in relevant subjects from recognized Institute(s). (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
Age Limit : 35 yrs
Note : Post No. (2): Scientist ‘B’ (Chemistry) (Unreserved),Post No. (3): Scientist ‘B’ (Chemistry) (Reserved for OBC).
Allowances as per Central Government Rules are admissible n the above pay scales.
(3) Benefits of new restructured defined Contributory Pension system are admissible as per the provision contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division), Notification No. 5/7/2003-ECB & PR dated 22-12-2003 effective from 01-01-2004.
Private practice is not allowed. However, non practicing allowance is admissible to medical graduates only as per rules.
Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments/Public Sector Undertakings and Govt. funded research agencies must be forwarded through Proper Channel. Advance copies of application will be considered subject to the conditions that a “No Objection Certificate” from the employer is produced at the time of personal discussion. Application received after the closing date will
not be considered. Candidates called for personal discussion/interview have the option to answer in Hindi also.
How to apply:
1. Application form and other information can be obtained from the Office of the Director, National Institute of Occupational Health, Meghani Nagar, Ahmedabad-380016 or downloaded from NIOH/ICMR websites www.nioh.org www.icmr.nic.in on or before the closing date.
2. Application form duly completed in all respects and signed by the applicant should be sent to the Director, National Institute of Occupational Health, Meghani Nagar, Ahmedabad-380016, on or before the closing date.
3. The applicant willing to apply in more than one post must send separate applications.
4. Documents to be enclosed with the application form (copies attested by the Gazetted Officer) (a) proof
of date of birth, (b) educational qualification, (c) experience.
(d) Crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) for Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) payable to the Director, NIOH, Ahmedabad. SC/ST/PH and women candidates are exempted from the application fees. IPOs are payable by all other candidates including ICMR employees.
5. Unsigned/incomplete application or application without supportive evidence asked for/without postal order/application received late are liable to be summarily rejected.
