Ph.D. admission during the academic session 2012-2013 is open in the following disciplines in the Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa.



Disciplines :
Agricultural Biotechnology, Agricultural Economics, Agronomy, Entomology, Extension Education, Plant Breeding & Genetics, Plant Pathology, Plant Physiology, Soil Science

Eligibility :
Candidates possessing the minimum eligibility qualifications i.e. Master Degree in the discipline concerned shall be eligible for admission to the respective Ph.D. programme, provided they fulfill the following conditions and qualify in the written test and secure a place in the merit list.a) 70% marks in Masters degree programme in the subject concerned (SC & ST candidate should have secured 65% marks in the subject concerned).b) The cut off marks for admission to Ph.D. programme in the merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in entrance examination and academic marks will be 40% for SC/ST candidates and 45% for others(Unreserved, BC, EBC, and RCG candidates).

(i) A candidate can apply for admission to only one subject. No change would be allowed thereafter.
(ii) The application form along with Admit Card, self-addressed envelope bearing postal stamps of Rs. 25/- only, and filled neatly and correctly by the applicant should be forwarded with necessary sets of attested copies of the documents viz. High School Certificate as a proof of date of birth, mark sheet of 10th, 12th
(iii) The candidate who is appearing in the Masters Degree Examination is also eligible to apply provisionally for admission and appear in the Competitive Test Examination. However, he/she must complete the degree requirement by 30.06.12 and submit the PDC and transcript/ Marksheet on or before 03.07.12 in the office of the Registrar, RAU, Pusa. , Bachelor and Master Degree Examinations and Caste certificate if applicable so as to reach the Registrar, Rajendra Agricultural University, Bihar, Pusa (Samastipur)-848 125 on or before the last date i.e. 21.05.2012 by Registered Post. Any application received after the last date shall not be entertained.
(iv) In-service candidate must submit his/her application through proper channel.
(v) If a candidate furnishes wrong information or suppresses any relevant information, his/her admission will be cancelled.
(vi) Candidate must enclose attested copies of the following certificates (whichever is applicable) and documents in the order indicated below. The candidature of
the candidate who fails to attach Xerox copies of certificates will not be considered. If selected, candidate has to submit original certificates at the time of counselling.
(a) Proof of date of birth
(b) Matriculation (Class X) or equivalent certificate and marks sheet.
(c) 10+2/ Intermediate Examination certificate and marks sheet
(d) Bachelor Degree Certificate and marks sheet/transcript
(e) Master Degree Certificate and marks sheet/transcript
(f) Caste Certificate (if applicable)
