Chennai Metro Rail Ltd - PG Diploma Course

Applications are invited from dynamic and result oriented Engineers (Civil,
Mechanical, Architecture, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics &
Communication Engineering), for the CMRL sponsored PG Diploma Course in “Metro
Rail Technology and Management”. The total number of seats is 13, which may undergo
slight change.



Discipline codes and distribution of seats:
Civil (Discipline code -01)
Mechanical (Discipline code -02)
Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics(Discipline code - 03)
Electronics & Communication Engineering (Discipline code -04)
Architecture (Discipline code-05)

Age : Not more than 28 years as on 31-07-2012 (relaxed by 3 years for OBC and 5 years
for SC/ST).

Educational Qualification:
First-class graduates with minimum aggregate average of
70% marks (relaxed by 5% for SC/ST candidates) in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/
Electrical and Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Architecture
from a recognized University/Institute are eligible to apply. The candidates should have qualified in GATE 2011 or 2012. Final year students who will secure the eligible degree before the commencement of the course can also apply.

Selection Process:
The candidates short listed based on the GATE score and qualifying
examination will be called for a test/interview which will be conducted at IIT Madras in coordination with CMRL. Final selection will be subject to medical fitness.

(1) The interviews will be held at IIT Madras.
(2) The candidates applying should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission. Their admission at all the stages will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.
(3) Mere issue of admission to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature
has been finally cleared by Chennai Metro Rail Limited. Chennai Metro Rail Limited will take up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original documents at the time of Interview/Group Discussion.
(4) No TA/DA for attending the interview.
(5) Candidates are informed that selection is strictly as per CMRL selection process.
Any attempts to influence or tamper with the selection process will cause summary
disqualification of the application.

How to Apply:
Duly filled in application form (See Annexure for application form)
along with the Application Fees should be sent in an envelope super scribing on the
cover- “Application for PG Diploma course” and the name of discipline to reach the
following address latest by 20-04-2012.
