Stockholm University, conducts PhD position/utbildningsbidrag in Physical Geography

PhD position/utbildningsbidrag in Physical Geography within the topic: Paleoglaciology and paleoclimate history of Central Asia bordered by the Kunlun Shan, Tian Shan and Altai Mountains at the Department of Physical Geography and Quaternary Geology.



Qualifications :
The candidate should (by starting date) either have obtained a MSc, or acquired a total of 240 higher education credits (of which at least 60 at advanced level), or acquired in some alternative fashion the equivalent knowledge in glacial geomorphology, remote sensing and geographical information systems(GIS). Preference will be given to those with a background in remote sensing and GIS technologies for geomorphology. This position will benefit from previous experience of laboratory techniques for cosmogenic, luminescence or electron spin resonance dating. As such, these qualities are considered advantageous in an applicant. The PhD dissertation will be written in English.
