NIE - Scientist/ Technician (M Phil / Phd)

National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) proposes to fill up the following posts on purely temporary and adhoc basis under the project sanctioned by ICMR Task Force Projects on leprosy at NIE, for six months (Likely to be continued on yearly renewable basis).



Scientist-B (N;
Qualification:
(1) First class Master’s Degree in social work /medical sociology/ anthropology/ psychology from a recognized University or equivalent (OR) (2) 2nd class Master’s Degree in Social work/Medical sociology/ anthropology/ psychology with Ph.D degree in social work / medical sociology/ psychology/ anthropology from a recognized University or equivalent. Desirable Qualification:(1) Proficiency in Tamil and English (2) Five years experience in the relevant community-based studies in health & social sciences (3) Exp. in qualitative & quantitative data analysis through computer software

Technician C (Lab)
Qualification:
10+2 with science subjects or equivalent from a recognized board with 2 years Diploma in DMLT from Govt. recog. Organizations/Institute/ Medical College.
Desirable : 1. Experience in molecular techniques related to Mycobacterial diseases 2. Knowledge in computer applications

Technician C (Lab)
Qualification:
10+2 with science subjects or equivalent from a recognized board with 2 years Diploma in DMLT from Govt. recog. Organizations/Institute/ Medical College.
Desirable : 1. Experience in molecular techniques related to Mycobacterial diseases 2. Knowledge in computer applications
