Central University of Tamil Nadu - Asst Librarian/ Hindi Typist (MSc / Diploma)

The Central University of Tamil Nadu, an Institution established by an Act of
Parliament, invites applications for the following Non-Teaching posts:



Post:
Assistant Librarian
Qualification :
i. Master’s degree in Library Science / Information Science/documentation Science
or an equivalent professional Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in the UGC point scale whenever grading system is followed) and a consistently good
academic record with knowledge of computerization of library.
ii. Qualifying in the national level test (NET) conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by UGC is mandatory. However, candidates, who have
been awarded PhD degree in accordance with “University Grants Commission
(Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of PhD Degree), Regulations 2009”,
shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of
NET/SLET/SET.
Desirable:
(i) PG Diploma in Library Automation/Computerization or Networking;
(ii) Atleast 3 years working experience in library computerization, digital library and/or Networking.
(iii) Effective communication and interpersonal skills with friendly user orientation.

Hindi Typist
Qualification :
Essential:
i. Passing of 12th Examination of any recognized Board.
ii. Certificate/Diploma from a recognized Institution in Hindi Typing with minimum speed of 25 W.P.M. and working knowledge of computers.
Desirable: Multitasking with experience in Hindi Typing.
