UNIVERSITY OF JAMMU - JRF/Data Entry Operator/Technical Asst

Applications are invited for the following positions in the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India funded research projects entitled:

A) Tomato Metabolome Network Group
B) Creating a Genomics Platform for Apple Research in India


A) Tomato Metabolome Network Group
i) Junior Research Fellow (one): The candidates must hold M. Sc degree in Biotechnology securing at least 55% marks. Candidates having experience of working in the area of Plant Biotechnology or having NET qualification will be preferred.
ii) Data Entry Operator (one): Candidates must be a graduate in Science and must have done at least one year course in Computers. Those have experience of working in scientific projects will be preferred.

B) Creating a Genomics Platform for Apple Research in India

i) Technical Assistant (one): Candidates must hold B. Sc or higher degree securing at least 55% marks. The candidate must have the experience of working with Instruments and have knowledge of computers. The job requires extensive field work in apple growing areas of
J & K.
The Salary will be as per the norms of the DBT. Plain paper applications alongwith CV and photocopies of the relevant documents must reach the office of the undersigned latest by 15th November, 2011. The interviews will be held on 16th November, 2011 at 11 am in the office chamber of the Director, School of Biotechnology, University of Jammu, Jammu. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
