National Centre for Radio Astrophysics - Engineer/MSC/ITI

The National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune [NCRA] of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research [TIFR] (an autonomous institute under the umbrella of the Department of Atomic Energy of the Government of India) is an internationally reputed research institute.




1. Junior Research Fellow [3 UR; HQ: Ooty; Tenure: 3 years]
EQ: First Class M.Sc. (Physics) with good academic record, sound knowledge in physical sciences and motivation for research, NET/GATE qualified candidates are preferred. Knowledge of computer programming skills desirable.
Fixed stipend: Rs.14000/- pm.
Age: below 28 years.


2. Junior Research Fellow [1 UR; HQ: Ooty; Tenure: 3 years]
EQ: First Class BE (electronics) with good academic record, and motivation for research. Knowledge of computer programming skills desirable.
Fixed stipend: Rs. 14000/- pm.
Age: below 28 years.


3. RPL Project Associate [1 UR; HQ: Ooty; Tenure: 2 years]
EQ: M.Sc. (preferably in Electronics). Working knowledge of computers and familiarity with computer programming.
Fixed Stipend: Rs.16,000/- PM.
Age: Below 28 years.

4. Project Assistant [1 UR; HQ: Ooty; Tenure: 3 years]
EQ: ITI (Fitter) with at least 7 years experience with radio telescope and its associated mechanical systems. Good knowledge of mounting dipoles and working with feeds.
Fixed Stipend: Rs.10,000/- PM.
Age: Below 28 years.
