Applications in 8 (EIGHT) SETS in the prescribed form from the eligible Indian citizens are invited for the following Backlog Teaching posts in the University Constituent Colleges, University of Mysore, Mysore. Eligible Indian Nationals who are residing abroad, may also apply.

Qualification :
Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the graduate and master’s level for the Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for the purpose of eligibility and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based on only the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedures. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar tests, accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates with Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009, are exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equilavalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters Programs in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

1. The prescribed application forms may be obtained from the Office of the
Registrar, University of Mysore, Mysore-570 005, on payment of (non-refundable)
fee of Rs.100/- for each post.
Application fees may be credited at any branch of the State Bank of Mysore to the Head of Account “Mysore University Funds – General Revenue Account” specifying in
the challan “Fee towards Application Form for the Post of ______________ ” or may be sent in the form of a Crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar / Finance Officer, University of Mysore, Mysore.
2. A self-addressed envelope of the size 12” x 6”along with D.D. for Rs.175/- has to be sent if the application forms are required to be sent by post.
3. The application forms will be issued/posted only on the production of the challan /D.D. for having paid the application fees.
4. The last date for issuing the Application forms is 26-06-2012.
5. The last date for receiving the duly filled in application forms in the office of the Registrar, University of Mysore, Mysore is 28-06-2012(upto 4-00pm)
6. Fee for submission of application (non-refundable)- Rs.300/-.
7. The copies of publications and true copies of Testimonials/ Certificates/Caste
Certificates/Marks Cards should be enclosed to all the eight sets which will not be returned.
8. Those who are employed should send their application through their employer so as to reach this office on or before the last date prescribed.
9. All belated, incomplete and the applications which are not in the prescribed form in eight sets will be rejected and no intimation in this regard will be sent to the candidates.
10. Person below 18 years of age and above 62 years need not apply.
