NIOH - Scientist (MSc)

Applications are invited on or before 5th March 2012 for two posts of Scientist ‘B’ in the (Grade Pay) at the National Institute of Occupational Health, Ahmedabad/ Regional Occupational Health Centre at Bangalore / Kolkata.



(1) Scientist-B (Experimental Toxicology (OBC)

Essential qualifications:
(i) M.V.Sc. in Veterinary Pathology or Veterinary Pharmacology recognized by VCI.
Desirable qualifications:
(i) Ph.D. in Veterinary Pathology or Veterinary Pharmacology.
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in Veterinary Pathology or Veterinary Pharmacology.
(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
(iv) Experience in Animal experimentation.
(v) Postgraduate diploma in toxicology or related subjects.
Job Requirement: To plan and undertake independent research in exploring mechanistic aspects of toxicity of chemicals of occupational
and environmental origin. To participate in multi disciplinary team work in occupational and environmental health. To assist in Institutional
infrastructure in project development and resource generation.

(2) Scientist-B (Toxicology (UR)

Essential qualifications: (i) MBBS degree recognized by MCI. Or 1st Class M.Sc. degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry,
Environmental Science or equivalent from recognized University.
Or 2nd class M.Sc. degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry plus Ph.D. degree or equivalent in relevant subject from a recognized
University.
Desirable qualifications:
(i) M.D./ Ph.D. degree in the above mentioned subjects from a recognized University .
(ii) Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in Medical/Health subjects in recognized Institute(s).
(iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.
(iv) Good knowledge in related instrumentation and methods.
