National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources Walk-in Interview for The Post of Research Associate/ Senior Research Fellow

Walk-in interviews to be held on 17.12.2012 for the recruitment of the contractual post of RA (02 Nos.) and on 18.12.2012 for the recruitment of the contractual post of SRF (02 Nos.) at 10:00 hrs. at National Bureau of Fish Genetic Resources, Lucknow as details given below on contractual basis under the project titled "Stock characterization, captive breeding, seep production and culture of hilsa (Tenualosa ilisha)"

Research Associate

Qualification:

Essential: Ph.D. in Life Science with experience in Fisheries/Molecular Biology techniques or Master's in Fishery Science/Marine Science/Biotechnology or Zoology/ Life science with specialization in Fisheries/ Molecular Biology with 1st Division 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average with at least two years research experience in Molecular Biology techniques and/or Fisheries. Research experience should be at a laboratory of reputed institute/university as evidenced from fellowship/Associateship/training/other engagement.

Desirable: Published research papers in the relevant field are desirable. NET qualified.

Senior Research Fellow
Qualification:

Essential: Master's degree in Fishery Science/Zoology with Fisheries/Biotechnology/Life Sciences with specialization in Fisheries/Molecular Biology 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average.

Desirable: Work experience in Fisheries, molecular research techniques, bioinformatics and Computer skills NET qualified.

1. Above position is purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project or may be terminated earlier by the competent authority without assigning any reasons.

2. Age relaxation will be 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates.

3. Place of work will be at NBFGR, Lucknow.

4. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in Interview.

5. All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of Interview for necessary formalities.

6. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.

7. The Director's decision will be final and binding in all respects.
