Eligible and interested candidates are invited for a Walk‐in‐interview to be held at the campus of
Directorate of Sorghum Research, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad – 500 030 on 19‐12‐2012 at 9‐30 AM for
recruitment of the following positions as per the details given below:
Post:
Senior Research Fellow
Essential:
M.Sc. in Genetics and Plant Breeding / Botany / Genetics with first division or 60% marks and
NET qualified.
Desirable: Work experience of at least two years in sorghum breeding activities like introgression breeding, hybrid making, maintenance breeding, field experimentation and analysis of data, report preparations,
proficiency in MS‐Office.
Project Assistant
Essential:
Graduates / diploma holders in agricultural sciences or related subject with experience.
Desirable: Working experience in field experiments, data recording, use of computers for data digitization. Should be able to attend the works as and when assigned by the PI
The above posts are purely temporary and on contractual basis for the period of the project. The
candidates shall submit their application at the time of interview in the proforma enclosed, along with a
passport size photograph and one set of attested copies of requisite mark‐sheets, certificates and
supporting documents. They have to produce all the original certificates at the time of interview for
verification. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview. Decision of the Director, DSR, is final
and binding in all respects.
1. The age limit for above positions is up to 35 years. The relaxation in upper age limit is
permissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per rules.
2. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointment / absorption in DSR or DBT or
other project funding agencies at the end of the project.
