NCCS,
Pune invites application from candidates for PhD admission for Feb,
2013. The candidates who are bonafide Indian citizens, having
consistently good academic record with strong motivation to pursue
research in modern biology leading to a Ph.D. degree
Eligibility :
Should have M.Sc. degree in any branch of Science having at least 50%
or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA). Holds a valid Junior Research
Fellowship from CSIR/UGC/ICMR/DBT/DSTINSPIRE /BING and Fellowship should
be valid as on the date of joining. Candidates who have qualified only
for Lectureship in CSIR-UGC (NET) and the "Project List of ICMR" are not
eligible. Other terms and conditions of the fellowship will be as
directed by the agency awarding the fellowship. The upper age limit for
JRF shall be 28 years which is relaxed up to 5 years in the case of
candidates belonging to SCIST!Women/PH and 3 years in case of OBC
candidates. Reservation will be as per the Government of India
guidelines .
Mode of Application : Candidates
should first apply online for JGEEBILS examination and then send hard
copy of NCCS application in the prescribed format (download from the
NCCS web site)
quoting the TIFR entrance test reference code. The completed
application form along with the M. Sc. final marks statement and
Fellowship certificate/admit card should reach the Co-ordinator,
Academic Cell, National Centre for Cell Science, Pu ne University
Campus, Ganeshkhind Post, Pune 411 007 on or before ogth November 2012.
