(i) A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (relaxation of 5% for
SC/ST/PWD candidates) (or)Its equivalent grade of B at seven point scale
of O,A,B,C,D,E & F.(ii) Must have cleared National Eligibility Test
conducted by UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by UGC.Desirable: Ph.
D. degree in related subject. (However, candidates having Ph. D. degree
are exempted from NET vide UGC D.O. No. F.1-1/2002 (PS) Exemp.
Effective from June 14,2006).Note : NET qualification is exempted
wherever no such test was conducted by UGC

01.
A relaxation of 5% in marks will be provided at the Master's level for the SC/ST candidates for the purpose of eligibility.
02.
Age relaxation in upper age limit for SC/ST – 05 years, OBC – 03 years and
Person with Disabilities --- General – 05 years, SC/ST – 10 years, OBC – 08 years will be applicable.

Candidates claiming benefits under the Person with Disabilities, SC, ST, OBC category should enclose medical/caste/non-creamy layer certificate, as applicable, from authorized Government authority, without which the application will be treated as 'general (unreserved)'.
04.
A relaxation of 5% in marks will be provided at the Master’s Level for the Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their Master's degree prior to 19th September, 1991.
05.
Relevant grade which is regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading systems is followed by a recognized university shall also be considered eligible.
06.
Internal candidates may also apply.
