University of Hyderabad - Sr Linguist/ Programmer

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates (Indian nationals only) on a plain paper for the temporary post(s) in the research project entitled “SHALLOW PARSER TOOLS FOR INDIAN LANGUAGES” (SPT-IL-Odia) sponsored by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Department of Information Technology, Govt. of India as mentioned below:



Post:
Sr Linguist
Minimum qualification(s):
Ph.D./M.Phil. in Odia OR a native speaker of Odia with a Ph.D./M.Phil. in Linguistics OR related disciplines. Applicants should be interested to work on
the Odia language and computer literacy will be an added advantage

Jr Linguist
Minimum qualification(s):
At least an MA degree in Odia with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent OR a native speaker of Odia with at least an MA degree in Linguistics/ any language & literature subject with a minimum of 55% of marks or equivalent. Applicants should be interested to work on the Odia language and computing Odia language will be an added advantage.

Programmer
Minimum qualification(s):
MCA/M.Tech./M.Sc./BE/ B.Tech in Computer Science with good programming abilities in the Natural Language Processing (NLP) area. Knowledge of the Oriya language will be an added advantage.

Applicants should note that the appointments to be made are purely temporary and there is no right for claiming for any regular appointment in the University.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or at the time of joining the post.
