C-WET - Project Assistants

Centre for Wind Energy Technology [C-WET] is an Autonomous Research and Development Organization set up by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy [MNRE], at Chennai to serve as a technical focal point in the area of Wind Energy and is the only one of its kind in the entire Country.

B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical / Instrumentation and control / Mechatronic Engg.

M.Tech Atmospheric Science

4.Project Asst-II /03
Qualification:
B.E / B.Tech in Computer Science/Electronics and Communication/IT or M.Sc.in Information Technology/MCA

5.Project Asst-II / 01
Qualification:
M.Sc Geo Informatics (Arc GIS knowledge)

6.Project Asst-II / 01
Qualification:
M.Sc. (Meteorology)

7.Project Asst-I / 02
Qualification:
B.Sc., (Physics / Maths)

8.Project Asst-I / 04
Qualification:
Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics / Civil Engineering

Selection process : Aptitude Test and interview.

The Minimum requirement for Project Assistant Level I shall be 50% & for Project Assistant Level II and above shall be 55% in the Qualifying Examination. In case of SC/ST Candidates, minimum percentage of marks shall be relaxed by 5% for qualifying Examination. Upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 [Five] years for SC/ST and by 3 [Three] years for OBC candidates. The payment of stipend will be subjected to statutory deduction as per rules.
All the position[s] requires extensive travel throughout the country. The candidates selected may be required to climb wind turbines and meteorological masts measuring about 80-100 meters height. Only such candidates who are earnest, willing, medically fit and capable to travel throughout the country and climb wind turbines need apply for the position.
