Assam Agricultural University inviting application for the post of Subject Matter Specialists/ Farm Manager/Programme Assistant /Accountant



Post:
2.Subject Matter Specialists
Qualification:
i) Bachelors degree in Agriculture/Veterinary Science & A.H./Home Science/Fisheries Science as the case may be.
ii) 55% marks or an equivalent OGPA of 3.00 in 4.00 point scale or 7.00 in 10.00 point scale at the Master’s Degree level from an Indian university or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. iii) Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET) Note 1 : Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations,2009 and the candidate has atleast two full length publications having a NAAS rating not less than 4 on the last date of submission of application.ii) Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not quality for NET exemption.

3. Farm Manager
Qualification :
Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture. Desirable : Master’s degree in Agronomy/ Horticulture/ Agril Economics

4.Programme Assistant
Qualification :
Bachelor degree in Agricultural Science /Home Science / Animal Science /Fisheries Science/ Agricultural Engg.

5.Programme Assistant
Qualification :
B.Sc. (Computer Application) or BCA or PGDCA from accredited organization.

6.Office Supdt. Cum. Accountant
Qualification :
Master in Business Management/ Post graduate Diploma in Business Management/ M.A/ M.Com./C.A Or
B.Com / B.A/ Bachelor in Business Management with minimum five years of experience of working as Junior Accountant or Senior Clerk dealing with financial accounts matter.

All the posts are temporary and are likely to continue so long as sanction for its continuance is available from ICAR. Reservations shall be as per existing rules. Place of posting will be anywhere in Assam under the jurisdiction of AAU and they will be governed by new CPF rules. Interested candidates may apply in prescribed format which can either be downloaded from the University website www.aau.ac.in or may be collected from the office of the Registrar on payment of crossed IPO of Rs. 10.00 (Rupees ten) only in favour of Registrar, AAU, payable at Jorhat on all working days before 3 p.m. Last date of receipt of duly completed forms at the office of the Registrar, AAU, Jorhat is on August, 18/2012.

Age limit for the posts other than Programme co-ordinator : 38 years (maximum) as on 01.01.2012. The age is relaxable by the number of full years of service rendered in AAU/ICAR/CSIR/DST/ SAUs and other Govt. Institutions up to a maximum of 5(five) years.
For the post of Programme Co-ordiinator , there shall be no age limit
Submission of application forms:
Application form in prescribed format is to be submitted to the Registrar, AAU, Jorhat on or before August 18, 2012.
BANK DRAFT of Rs.150/- in case of general candidates and Rs.75/- in case of SC/ST candidates must accompany with the application forms.
Reservation shall be as per Government of Assam Rules.
Inservice candidates must send their application through proper channel.
Applications received late and found incomplete will not be considered.
