TIFR - Scientific Asst (BSc/Diploma)

Applications are invited for the following post tenable at Mumbai



SCIENTIFIC ASSISTANT (B)
Qualification : i) B.Sc. (Physics, Electronics) with minimum 60% marks. OR S.S.C./H.S.C. & Diploma in Electronics with minimum 60% marks. (ii) Knowledge of use of computers and its applications.

Desirable :
Candidate should : (i) have working experience in cleanroom and maintenance of cleanroom facility and equipments. (ii) be Laboratory Assistant or Technician and must be familiar with laboratory equipments and laboratory procedures.

Job Requirements : Candidate would be expected to work in a class1000 cleanroom maintaining the facility and the sophisticated equipment within. After receiving initial training, would be responsible for training users.

Age : Below 31 years.

Higher starting salary could be considered for deserving candidate. Candidate is liable to be transferred to other Centres/Field Stations of the Institute, if required.

Appointment for the above post will be initially for a period of three years, including probation period of one year. Continuing appointment beyond the initial period of three years will be subject to the results of a comprehensive review and performance appraisal. After successful review, the appointment is continued till superannuation age, which is sixty
Prescribed age should not exceed as on January 1, 2012.

Selected candidate for the above post will be governed by the New Pension Scheme applicable to the Central Government service [unless they are already governed by CCS (Pension) Rules 1972].
