DVC - Assistant Engineer

Damodar Valley Corporation invites ONLINE applications from IT Professionals
having Qualifications as mentioned at Para 3 below with 3 to 5 years of experience
to fill up the post of Assistant Engineer (Information Technology) (on Probation)
through WALK-IN-INTERVIEW on the terms and conditions mentioned hereinafter.

Qualifying Requirement & Experience:
External Candidates & Internal Candidates(excepting Controllers in DVC)
(A )Full time BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.(Engg.) Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science from Recognized University/Institute approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks (General/OBC)/60% marks (SC/ST) taking average of all the semesters, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular Semester/Year by the Institute /University.
(B) Candidate must have 3 to 5 years experience. The experience will be in any
of the following fields:-
i. System design programming using Java.
ii. JSP / Oracle report builder.
iii. Oracle application server.
iv. Oracle database version 10g(preferably on Linux platform), tuning and performance improvement.
v. IT Security and knowledge of latest H/W and System S/W Technology.

Controllers in DVC
(A)Graduate in Science
(B)Five years of working experience as a Assist. Controller in IT Cell of DVC.
N.B. - Candidates at 1 above having requisite skill-set from reputed
companies would be given preference.

Age Limit:
Maximum 30 Years as on 01.01.2012 for Unreserved/General Candidates

SELECTION PROCESS:
Through Walk-in Interview. In this connection, a list of candidates having made ONLINE application will be hosted in DVC website www.dvc.gov.in around 15.00 Hrs on 15.06.2012 showing the date and time slot allotted to the candidates. All such candidates are required to appear in the Personal Interview (P.I.) before a Selection
Board as per time & date shown in the list. However, appointment of selected candidate is subject to his/her fulfilling eligibility criteria related
to qualification requirement, experience, age, caste/PH-if applicable read with other terms and conditions as given in the Advertisement and also being found medically fit as per the Corporation norms. Such appointments shall also be subject to the service & conduct rules of the Corporation.

HOW TO APPLY:
Mode of Application: Candidates should apply through DVC’s Online Registration System
only. The Online Registration will be available on the website www.dvc.gov.in and will remain activated from 13.00 hrs of 19.05.12 to 24.00 hrs of 14.06.2012. No other mode of application will be accepted. Following Information/documents to be kept ready before applying ONLINE
1. A soft copy of the photograph to be submitted is to be uploaded while applying. Besides, Candidate should arrange to have 4 (four) identical colored passport photographs duly self attested not older than 3 months of date of application to be stapled with the print out of the Application so made.
2. Details of caste (SC/ST/OBC) or Ex Servicemen certificate like date of issue, certificate no., issuing authority etc. as applicable to the candidate including non-creamy layer certificate for OBC candidates.
3. PH certificate details like percentage of disability, type of disability, issuing authority, etc. as applicable.
4. Year/Semester wise marks obtained in Degree/Diploma in percentage. School Final and / or HS examination etc. and other relevant details pertaining to proof of date of birth, academic qualifications etc.
5. Valid E-Mail ID of the candidate, which shall remain valid for at least 6(six) months from the date of this advertisement.
6. Candidates are advised to take 2(two) Print outs of the Application and bring one
of them putting his/her signature and Left Thumb Impression(LTI) at the allocated
place in the Application Form and three PP size photo attached with the
application. No photo should be pasted on the scanned photo in the application.
The thumb impression must be clear and complete. Ridges of the thumb
impression must be clearly visible. The other copy should be kept with the
candidate for reference.
