Assam Police - Junior Assistants/ Stenographer

Applications are invited in the Standard Form of Application published in Schedule-IX of the Assam Gazette from the Citizen of India for filling up of the Vacant Posts as mentioned below under the Police Department , Assam.



Jr. Asstt.
Qualification :
The minimum educational qualification for the posts of Jr. Asstt. is HSLC Examination passed from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam/CBSE. Diploma in Type writing / Computer is necessary.

Stenographer – Grd.- III
Qualification :
The minimum educational qualification for the posts of Stenographer , Grd.- III is HSLC Examination passed from the Board of Secondary Education, Assam/ CBSE with holder of National Trade Certificate ( under ITI’s Assam ) or any other Institute recognized by the Govt. of Assam with 80 WPM in English Stenography.

Age Limit :
Minimum age limit of the candidate should be 18 (eighteen) Years and maximum of 38 (thirty eight ) years as on 01/01/2012.

1. Govt. Servant joining in the service of the State on or after 01/02/2005 shall not be Governed by the existing Assam Services (Pension Rules)
1969 and orders issued there under from time to time so far as their
pension and other retirement benefits are concerned. They will be Governed by New Defined Contributory Pension Scheme announced by the Govt.
2. Incomplete form will be rejected.
3. . The posts will be reserved for all Reserved Categories as per entitlement which will be maintained at the time of appointment.
4. Those who could secured 50% marks in the Written Test will be short listed in order of merit and candidates equal to four times of the Total number of Vacant Posts advertised will be called for Interview .
5. Those who are already serving under Central Govt./ State Govt. should apply through proper channel .
6. Candidate will submit Treasury Challan of Rs. 50/- ( Rupees Fifty ) only for General Categories and Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five ) only for S.C / S.T. Categories to deposit under the Head of Account “ 0055- Police Receipt.” Money Order / Cash / Cheque / Bank Draft etc. in lieu of Treasury Challan will not be accepted even on the plea of Postal Delay .
7. Canvassing directly or indirectly will disqualify a Candidate.
