Project Assistant-I
Project Title and code:
Monitoring Bio-optical Parameters and Detection of Trichodesmium Bloom. -- GAP1974Essential
Qualifications:
B.Sc Electronics / Physics / IT / Computers or three year Diploma in Mechanical / Electronics / ComputersDesirable:
Job requirement Field measurements in the coastal waters off Goa and Arabian Sea on boat and ship, maintenance/calibration of instruments and analysis of data. Field measurements on boat will be carried-out using instruments from morning till evening atleast twice a month, while ship cruises will be for two weeks twice a year and apart from these there will be field trials as and when required.

Project Title and code:Marine EIA studies for the establishment of Thermal Power Plant (TPP) at Kasargod, Kerala - Chemical Aspects. -- SSP2492Essential
Qualifications:
B.E. in Computer Engineering
Desirable:
Experience in development of database management in MySQL and Web designing.Job requirement The candidate should assist the senior scientists in development of application codes for autonomous instrumentation. He/she is required to participate in field work at remote locations such as dams, etc and in cruises on board NIO's research vessels for testing and data collection.

To assist the Project Leader in field collection of seawater and sediment samples from the riverine and coastal marine environments of India for chemical analyses. Evaluation of toxicity of effluents using bio-assay tests.
