The Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, seeks dynamic young male and female with courage and motivation for appointment as Assistant Commandant (Pilot) and offers a challenging and inspiring career as a Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer


Assistant Commandant:
{Commercial Pilot Licence) for Short Service Appointment} as Helicopter and Fixed wing pilots for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable upto14 years.

Minimum Educational Qualification:12th class passed or equivalent with 55% marks and should possess current / valid Commercial Pilot license (CPL) approved by (DGCA) on the date of registration.

Age (Born between):
01 Jul 85 to 30 Jun 93 (both dates inclusive).

(a) All original certificates alongwith two attested copies each will be carried by the candidate to the examination centre. Originals will be returned after verification.
(b) Original certificates should not be attached with the application form. Indian Coast Guard will not take responsibility for loss of original certificates, if attached with application. Photo should be pasted and not stapled. Attestation made on the backside of the photo will not be entertained.
(c) The application format is given at para 11 below. Candidates are to come to the selection centre with two in number pre-filled applications. The application form can also be downloaded from Indian Coast Guard website www.indiancoastguard.nic.in.
(d) The upper age limit for OBC/SC/ST is relaxable as per Govt. of India rules in vogue.
(e) Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any other service training academy are not eligible to appear.
(f) Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted or prosecuted on criminal charges.
(g) Name of candidate, father/mother's name and date of birth in the application should be as given in the 10th class pass certificate.
(h) Candidate must possess the required qualification as per Para 3 above and should be able to produce original certificates.
(j) The application will be screened at Coast Guard Selection Board, Noida and the Candidates thereafter will undergo Preliminary Selection Board and Final Selection Board. Candidates will be allotted Roll Numbers at the time of registration.


Selection Procedure:
(a) Registration. Registration will be carried out on the spot at the venue between 0830 hrs and 0930 hrs on 07 May 12.
(b) Documents: - Candidates are required to appear at the Venue with the following documents:
(i) Two copies of pre-filled application as per format given below.
(ii) Original certificate of tenth class for date of birth verification.
(iii) Original mark sheet and certificates of 10+2 examination.
(iv) Proof of identity such as passport, driving license, voter I card, college ID card or any other photo identity proof.
(v) Caste Certificate (if applicable) in original as per Govt of India format.
(vi) Character certificate.(from School/College/Employee)
(vii) Two recent colour passport size photographs.
(viii) Current and Valid Commercial Pilot License (approved by DGCA) in original for Asst Comdt CPL entry only.
(c) Tests: - On the 1st day, eligible candidates will appear in Preliminary Selection which will consist of Mental Ability test. All candidates clearing MAT will undergo PPDT (Picture Perception and Discussion Test). The candidates qualifying MAT and PPDT above will appear for Final Selection Board on the next day. The Final Selection will consist of Psychologist test, Group Testing and Interview (Personality test). Candidates should be prepared to stay for 03 days at the Selection Board. The candidates will be provided with dormitory accommodation at the Coast Guard Selection Board for PSB qualified candidates.
