CSIR-IMMT is inviting applications from eligible candidates for admission into Ph.D. programme under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), New Delhi in Engineering Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences and Biological Sciences, in the ensuing session commencing from August 2012.
Eligibility:
PhD (Engineering): A Master's degree in Engineering/ Technology or Equivalent with a good academic record
having CSIR-SRF or equivalent fellowship
PhD (Science):
A Master's degree in Science having a valid National level fellowship (JRF/SRF of various funding agencies, e.g. CSIR, UGC, DBT, DST etc.), INSPIRE or other equivalent fellowships
Note:
CSIR Scientists recruited 2009 onwards/Existing Research Fellows/Projects Assistants (working at CSIR labs for a minimum of one year) who fulfil the qualifications are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit:
Upper age limit is 28 years as on 18.05.2012, which is relaxable as per GoI rules for SC/ST/OBC/Women/ physically

Interested candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply online from 25th April, 2012 at http://acsir.res.in. Online application will close on 18th May, 2012. For more details about application and admission procedures, candidates are requested to visit the website http://acsir.res.in.
Selection:
Selection for admission to the Ph.D. Programme shall be on the basis of the interview (s) of short listed candidates at CSIR-IMMT. Candidates are advised to visit the AcSIR website for dates of interview in the 1st week of May, 2012.The interview(s) for selection will be conducted at CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar. Please note that no TA/DA
shall be paid to the candidates appearing for the interview and candidates have to make their own arrangements for the stay, etc. at Bhubaneswar.
