Qualification:
i) Good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. For the posts of Assistant Professors in the College of Education (Sl.No.9), in addition to the above qualification, the candidate should have qualified M.Ed. degree with atleast 55% of marks ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) above, the candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions.

11.Alagappa University College of Physical Education Asst Professor Cum Medical Officer
Qualification:
The candidate should be an M.B.B.S. degree holder with at least 55% of marks from recognized University. Diploma in Orthopaedics is a desirable qualification. Preference will be given to Doctors with Teaching/Practicing experience.

12.Asst Librarian Alagappa University – Corporation Bank Public Library
Qualification:
i) A Master’s Degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation Science or an equivalent professional degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and a consistently good academic record with knowledge of computerization of library. ii) Qualifying in national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC. iii) However, the candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of University Assistant Librarian.

1.Candidates should send their filled-in applications in Eight copies (Three copies with complete enclosures and five copies without enclosures).
2.Separate applications are to be submitted for each post.
3.Candidates applying for the post of Associate Professor/Professor/ Principal/ Director of Physical Education should send their applications along with 8 copies of bio-data and 8 copies of API Scores PBAS Proforma duly filled-in. Otherwise the application will not be entertained.
4.Candidates already in service should send their applications through proper channel.
5.Candidates should enclose the attested xerox copies of the certificates for the proof of their age, educational qualifications, experience etc.
6.A relaxation of 5% will be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks, at the Master’s degree level for the SC/ST, Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories.
7.A relaxation of 5% will be provided, from 55% to 50% of the marks, to the Ph.D. degree holders who have passed their Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991.
8.The period of time taken by candidates to acquire M.Phil. and/or Ph.D. Degree shall not be considered as teaching/research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions, as per the UGC norms. Hence, for the purpose of calculation of years of teaching experience, the period between the Registration for Ph.D. and the date of submission of Thesis will not be considered as teaching/research experience to be claimed for appointment to the teaching positions.
9.Minimum eligibility does not vest any right on the candidate to be called for interview. The candidates will be short-listed, based on higher qualifications/ accomplishments of the available applicants. Only such short-listed candidates will be called for interview.
10.Interview for the candidates from Abroad will be done through video-conferencing, on specific request from the candidate in writing along with a Demand Draft for $250 towards processing fee.
11.The University reserves the right to fill-up or not to fill-up the posts notified.
