South Central Railway - General Duty Doctors

Walk-in-interviews will be held on the following dates for engagement of Doctors on full time contract basis for a period of one year on South Central Railway. The details are as under:

General Duty Doctors
Qualification:
The Candidate should be M.B.B.S and should be in possession of a valid Registration Certificate of Medical Council of India/any of the State Medical Council of India after completion of one year compulsory rotatory internship.

Age Limit : 50 years as on 01-01-2012

Specialists
The Candidate should be Post Graduate in the respective specialties and
registered with Indian Medical Council with not less than 3 years experience
of clinical work in that speciality after post-graduation.

1 Age should not be more than 50 years as on 01.01.2012
2 The remuneration Rs.46800/- p.m. for Specialist and Rs.39400/- p.m. for General Duty Doctors fixed.
3 No private practice is allowed.
4 Original certificates i.e, SSC/HSC certificate, MBBS certificate, Rotatory Internship Certificate, Diploma in Post-Graduation Certificate, Caste Certificate, Registration Certificate with appropriate Medical Council be produced for verification at the time of interview which is must. Reserved candidates should bring the latest Caste Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed proforma.
5 For the post of Specialist the candidate should be post graduate in the respective
specialities and registered with Medical Council of India /State Medical Council as
specialist
6 For the post of General Duty Doctors the candidate should be MBBS and should be in
possession of a valid registration certificate of Medical Council of India/any of the State Medical Council of India after completion of one year compulsory rotatory internship.
7 The Contract Doctors are not entitled for Railway Quarters etc., as a matter of right. However, they will be provided the accommodation if available. If Government
accommodation is provided an amount equal to the sum of House Rent Allowance (`
6838/- for specialists and Rs.5250/- for General Duty Doctors) and licence fee of the
accommodation so provided will be deducted from the monthly remuneration or as per
instructions issued by Railway Board from time to time.
8 The detailed instructions with regard to their duties while on contract with railways shall be given to them in the event of their selection along with the offer of engagement.
9 If selected, the contract doctor can be posted or liable to be transferred to any where on South Central Railway as per Administrative need.
10 The engagement of doctors would be full time contract basis for a period of one year or till regularly selected Asst. Divisional Medical Officers, whichever is earlier. The services of contract doctors are terminable before the expiry of one year by either side after giving one month’s notice or on payment of one month of honorarium in lieu of the same.

The eligible and willing candidates should report to the address shown above, on the date of Walk-in-interview along with application form in the format duly enclosing necessary attested copies of the certificates/testimonials. Originals of the certificates should be produced for verification. No TA/DA will be paid and no Free Railway Pass will be provided to the candidates attending the Interview. No application will be accepted after 12 Noon on the date of Interview.
