Government Medical College - Psychiatry (M Phil / Phd)

The Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi has first
indentified Government Medical College & Hospital, Chandigarh for implementation of the National Mental Health Programme with the Manpower Development Component Scheme.



The following vacancies are required to be filled up, on contract basis, which are funded by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, for PG Seats in the Department of Psychiatry, GMCH, Chandigarh. The breakup of vacancies, is as follows: -

Post:
Professor Associate Professor
Qualification:
MD (Psychiatry) from Recognised University/Institution with 10 years experience
in the profession after acquiring Postgraduate qualification out of which 3 years should be as Reader/Associate Professor from a Recognised Medical College/Teaching
Intuition.
MD (Psychiatry) from Recognised University/Institution with 04 years experience
as Assistant Professor/Sr. Lecturer from a Recognised Medical College/Teaching
Intuition.

Associate Professor Clinical Psychologists
Qualification:
Ph.D/M. Phil (Clinical Psychology) from Recognised University with 04 years
experience as Assistant Professor/Senior Lecturer from a Recognised University/Teaching Institution.
Ph.D. /M. Phil (Clinical Psychology) from a Recognised University/Teaching Institution.

Associate Professor Psychiatry Social Worker
Qualification:
Ph.D/M. Phil (Psychiatry Social Work) from Recognised University with 04 years
experience as Assistant Professor/ Senior Lecturer.
Ph.D/M. Phil (Psychiatry Social Work) from a Recognised University/Teaching Institution.

Associate Professor Assistant Professor
Qualification:
Ph.D/M.Sc. (Psychiatry Nursing) from Recognised University with 04 years experience in the profession after acquiring Post Graduate Qualification as Assistant
Professor from a Recognised Institution.
Ph.D/M.Sc. (Psychiatry Nursing) from Recognised University with 03 years
experience in the School/College of Nursing after acquiring Post Graduate Qualification.

**The number of post(s) are tentative and liable to increase or decrease, as per
requirement. The Application Proforma along with qualifications, experience, Consolidated emoluments, age etc. and other information can be obtained from Establishment Branch-I, Level-II, Block 'D', Hospital Building, GMCH-32, Chandigarh, on any working day from Monday to Friday between 9.00 A.M. to 5.00 P.M. The application proforma along with other information can also be downloaded from our website gmch.gov.in.

(i). The above vacancies/categories indicative above are only tentative and are liable to change as per requirement.
(ii). Those candidates, who are employed in Central Government/State
Government/UTs/Statutory Bodies/Research Institutes etc., should send their application along with Service/No Objection Certificate from the employer Through Proper Channel. However, they may send an Advance Copy of their application along with Demand Draft of Rs.100/- (Rs. One Hundred only) and other certificates and testimonials so as to reach this office on or before the schedule date.
(iii) The applications should be submitted in a prescribed format and the
applications that are not submitted in the prescribed format will not be considered.
(iv) Incomplete/unsigned applications and application received without fee,
photograph, self attested copies of required certificates such as educational
qualifications, experience, age, caste/community certificate etc. and those received after the prescribed last date of receipt of application will be summarily rejected without any communication to the candidate.
(v) The applications received by post directly beyond the last date of receipt of
applications will not be entertained under any circumstances. This institute will not be responsible for delay/ late delivery by the postal department.
The following documents should be attached with the Application Form: -
(i) Two copies of recent passport size photographs with one photograph pasted on
the Application Form.
(ii) Self attested copies of certificates and testimonials in proof of educational
qualifications, date of birth, experience, caste certificate etc.
(iii) Attested copies of Caste/Community certificate in the prescribed format in case
of candidate belonging to OBC category and should have the clause of noncreamy
layer.
(iv) Demand Draft amounting to Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) prepared in
favour of Director Principal, Government Medical College & Hospital, Sector-32,
Chandigarh, payable at Chandigarh.
