CGCRI - Technical Asst/ Officer (BE/B.Tech/BSc/Diploma)

The CSIR-CGCRI is 4th oldest Research and Development (R&D) Laboratory under the CSIR, DSIR, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. CSIR-CGCRI is dedicated to achieve scientific leadership in the area of advanced ceramics and specialty glasses (including fibre/fibre-based devices).

1.Technical Asst
Qualification:
1st Class Diploma in Glass/ Ceramics/ Pottery/ Electrical/ Inst rumentation Engineering of 3 years full time duration OR its equivalent after 10+2 in Science stream.
1st class Diploma in Ceramics / Mechanical/ Production Engineering. of 3 years full time duration OR its equivalent after 10+2 in Science stream.
1st class diploma in Ceramic Technology/ Metallurgy of 3 years full time duration OR its equivalent after 10+2 in Science stream. or 1st Class B Sc (Chemistry Hons) with one year full time professional qualification in industrial training from a recognized Institute/ organisation.
1st Class B. Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Math) with one year full time professional qualitfication in industrial training from a recognized Institute/organisation. OR 1st Class Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering of 3 years full time duration OR its equivalent after 10+2 in Science stream.
1st Class B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry/Biology with one year full time professional qualitfication in industrial training from a recognized Institute/organisation. OR 1st Class Diploma in Pharmacy of 3 years full time duration OR its equivalent after 10+2 in Science stream. Desirable qualification: 1 year hand on experience in in vitro cell culture facilities.
1st Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering of 3 years full time duration OR its equivalent after 10+2 in Science stream.
1st class Diploma in Ceramic Engg./Tech. of 3 years full time duration or its equivalent after 10+2 in Science stream. Or 1st class B. Sc. (Physics/Chemistry/Math) with one year full time professional qualification in the relevant discipline from a recognized Institute/Organization.
1st class Diploma in Ceramic/ Chemical Engg./Tech./Material Science of 3 years full time duration or its equivalent after 10+2 in Science stream. Or 1st class B. Sc. (Chemistry) with one year full time professional qualification in the relevant discipline from a recognized Institute/Organization.

2.Technical Officer:
Qualification:
BE/ BTech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent with 55% marks
BE/BTech in ceramics/glass/materials science/materials Engineering/ nanoscience/ nanotechnology or equivalent with minimum 55% marks.
B.E. or B.Tech. (Chemical/ Materials/ Ceramic) Or equivalent with minimum 55% marks.
B.E./B.Tech. (Chemical/Materials/ Nanotechnology/Instrumentation Or equivalent with minimum 55% marks.

1. The prescribed qualifications must be of the recognized Universities/Boards/Institutes.
2. The date of determining the upper age limit/qualifications and/or experience shall be the closing date prescribed for receipt of applications prescribed for that.Group/Grade.
3. The period of experience in a discipline / area of work, where prescribed, shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualification prescribed for that posts. Experience implies professional engagement/employment in recognized Industry/R&D organization/Academic Institutions.
4. Applications from the candidates working in Government departments, Public Sector
Undertakings, Autonomous Bodies and Govt. funded research agencies will be considered only if forwarded through proper channel and with a clear certificate that the applicant will be relieved within one month from the date of receipt of offer of appointment, if selected.
5. Marks awarded under OGPA/CGPA system or under letter grade system should be converted to equivalent of percentage and indicated in the application form .along with supportive documents for such conversion, failing which the decision with regard to arriving at the percentage by the Institute will be binding on the candidates.

The complete application in all respects, signed and accompanied with self- attested copies of the certificates/testimonials in support of age, educational qualifications, experience, caste certificate (for SC/OBC candidates) etc. as mentioned in the application together with an application fee of ` 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of “ CGCRI, Kolkata” payable at Kolkata preferably at SBI JU Branch Code No. 0093
should reach the Administrative Officer, Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute, 196, Raja S. C. Mullick Road, Kolkata – 700032 on or before 01.05.2012. There is no application fee for SC candidates. Applications received after the due date will not be accepted. The envelope containing the application must be superscribed clearly, in Block letter, with Advertisement No., Name of the post along with its Post Code on the top left corner of the envelope
