University of Burdwan - Asst Professors/Guest Faculties/Draftsman/ Tracer

Post :
Asst Professors (b),(c),(d),(e),(f) & (g)
Qualification :
First Class Master’s degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering & Technology. Desirable: (i) Teaching, research industrial and/or professional experience in a reputed organization; (ii) Papers presented at Conference and/or in refereed journals.

Guest Faculties (h) & ( i)
Qualification :
Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or equivalent grade where grading system is practised at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Desirable: NET/SET conducted by the UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or Ph.D. degree as on the date of notification of these regulations, along with those candidates who are awarded a Ph.D. degree though a process of admission, registration, course work and external evaluation as have been/or may be laid down by UGC through its regulations

Draftsman/ Tracer (k)
Qualification :
Diploma in the relevant field from a recognized institute with Madhyamik at the entry level or HS in science at the entry level for the diploma course and preferably having 3 years’ experience in the laboratory of a teaching institution/industry.

Age Limit: As per AICTE/UIT Rules.

Candidates, who had applied earlier for the post of Training & Placement Officer (TPO) & Draftsman/Tracer, vide Adv.No.UIT/014/P-287 dated 20.04.2010(website)/Adv.No.UIT/014/P-288(4) dated 20.04.2010(news papers) need not apply again. Candidates who had also applied earlier for the post of Principal, Asstt Professor in Civil Engg, Full-Time Guest Faculty in Mechanical Engg & Training & Placement Officer, vide Adv.No.UIT/014/P-423(4) dated 29.11.2010(website)/Adv.No.UIT/014/P-424(4) dated 29.11.2010(news papers) need not apply again. However, they can submit their updated bio-data, if any. The institute authority reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the posts.
