Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree with 60% Male marks in aggregate of a university recognised by the Central/ State Govt./UGC
and with a minimum
aggregate of 60% marks
in Maths & Physics of 12th
Class or equivalent.

Assistant Commandant General Duty
(a) Pilot
(b) Navigator
or
Observer
Qualification:
B.Sc with Maths & Physics and 55% marks in aggregate and minimum 60% in 12th Std of 10+2+3 or equivalent scheme of education. (Physics or Maths should be one of the
Subject in final year of B.Sc Degree.

Assistant Commandant {Commercial Pilot License)
for Short Service Appointment} as Helicopter and Fixed wing pilots for a period of 08 years, which may be extended to 10 years and further extendable upto 14 years.
Qualification:
12th class passed or equivalent with 60% marks and should possess current / valid Commercial Pilot license (CPL) approved by (DGCA) on the date of registration.

Assistant Commandant Technical branch (Electrical)
Qualification:
(i) Degree with 65% marks in aggregate in Electrical/ Tele Communication & Electronic or equivalent qualification, in any of the above discipline, reconised by All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
or
(ii) Have passed Section 'A' & 'B' of Institute of Engineers (India) Examination in any of discipline listed at sl no. (i).
or
(iii) Candidates with minimum 60% marks in M Tech and BE/B Tech.

How to apply:- Applications will only be accepted online. To do so, the candidates need to logon to the Website www.joincoastguard.org.
(i) Terms and conditions linked to the form will be displayed and must be read, prior to submitting the form. The candidate will click on the ‘I Agree’ button, and then, immediately the Online Application form will be displayed. The candidate should select the branch as indicated in para 3 above and fill in all the particulars.
(ii) After submitting the form an acknowledgement with a Registration number will be provided to the candidate along with date, time and venue of the examination. The filled Application Form, with the number generated will be available to the candidate to save and take a print. For candidates NOT meeting the eligibility criteria, a ‘Rejection Slip, giving the cause of rejection with the Application Number’ will be displayed. The last date of applying online is 30 Jan 12.
(iii) After submitting online application, candidates are required to print two copies of the application with number generated by the system. Both copies of the print out of application duly signed with photograph to be carried by the applicant to the testing centre. Out of the two copies one copy shall be enclosed with class 10th certificate/mark sheet showing date of birth, 12th class certificate along with mark sheet showing subjects, Degree certificate and mark sheets duly attested by the Gazzetted Officer shall also be carried by the candidate for submission at the time of PSB. Any candidate who does not carry all these documents at the time of PSB shall not be permitted to appear in the exam.
(iv) In case of difficulties faced by the candidates’ applying online, the candidates will be called for on the spot registration on the date and venue as published on the Coast Guard website www.indiancoastguard.nic.in.
(v) Candidates must submit only one online application. Receipt of multiple applications from the same candidate will result in cancellation of candidature.
