The National Hub, a major national facility, funded by the Department of Science and Technology for carrying out mission-oriented projects related to healthcare instrumentation development, invites application for the following posts. Candidates who have passion for indigenous development of healthcare instrumentation should submit their CVs along with a copy of reprints of recent publications/patent abstract,brief write-up of product development or project work and experience certificates addressed to The Administrative Officer, NHHID, CPEES-CTDT Building, Anna University, Chennai 600 025, by 15th Oct 2011 by post.


NATIONAL HUB FOR HEALTH CARE INSTRUMENTATION DEVELOPMENT
The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview after scrutiny of the applications. The actual date and time of interview will be intimated to the short-listed candidates in due course by e-mail only.


Project Scientists:
Essential: Ph.D with Publications/Patents in peer-reviewed journals with decent
impact factor
Desirable: Experience after Ph.D in relevant areas;
First class in UG & PG

Project Scientist:
Essential: Ph.D in Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering/Biochemistry/
Analytical Chemistry
Desirable: Experience in sensor instrumentation and validation of healthcare
methodologies & devices


Project Scientist:
Essential: Ph.D in Medical Electronics/Biomedical/ Instrumentation/E&I/Signal or
Image Processing/Any other equivalent specialization.
Professional degree in both UG and PG
Desirable: Experience in development of medical/healthcare aids/devices, patent
filing and regulatory aspects in productization and commercialization


Project Scientist:
Essential: Ph.D in Electronics/ Instrumentation/ E&I/ Medical Electronics /Bio
medical/ Communication/Signal or Image Processing /VLSI/ Mechanical/
Biomechanical / /Physics
UG – 1st Class in B.E. – ECE/Biomedical Engineering/E&I
PG – 1st Class in M.E. – Applied Electronics/VLSI/Communication
Engineering/Medical Electronics/Biomedical Engineering
Desirable: Experience in development and calibration of medical or other
instruments, imaging based networking

Administrative Assistant:
B.Sc/B.Com/BBA with administrative experience in handling projects. Typewriting
skill, Computer knowledge and Tally are desirable


General Instructions
• Application should reach us on or before the specified date (15.10 2011)
• Candidates attending the interview will do so at their own expense
• These posts are purely temporary
• Selected candidates have to report for their duty within 2 weeks after the interview
• The duration of the fellowship would be co-terminus with the project
• The selection criteria are as per the guidelines of Anna University, Chennai
