Applications are invited for following three positions in two DST projects: Project 1: “ Interactions of carbon nano-particles and their chemically modified forms with cells and organs in vitro and in vivo”; Project 2: "To explore the relationship between the age of erythrocyte in blood circulation and their susceptibility to stress and anemia inducing agents" at School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University.


Position: One Technician (Salary Rs. 10,000.00 fixed pm)
Qualifications : B.Sc. /MLT or equivalent.
Job description : Upkeep of research laboratory, research equipment maintenance and record keeping, Preparation of glass ware, culture media, assisting in experiments, handling of procurement paperwork.

Position: One Research Assistant (Salary Rs. 8,000.00 fixed pm)
Qualifications : At least 12th pass with science with sufficient relevant experience of working in a biology laboratory.
Desirable : Experience of working in a biology laboratory. Duties will involve washing and sterilization of glassware, maintenance of laboratory animals, helping researcher workers.

Position: One Part Time animal attendant (Salary Rs. 2,000.00 fixed pm)
Qualifications : 8th pass
Desirable : Experience in animal handling

Tenure : The positions are purely temporary, and may continue until July 2012 (the end of the projects).
