Subject: Walk-in-Interview for Project Assistants at levels II & III, as shown below, for the Supra Institutional Project. “India S&T –2010-11”

We are looking for persons with expertise in the following areas:
economics/econometrics, bibliometrics, statistics, mathematics, computing or computer science/applications, computer system administration, webometrics, science policy, business studies, international studies, China studies, sociology, agriculture, public policy, and similar areas.

Last Date: 11 Jan 2011


Preference will be given to candidates with good academic record, capability and interest in empirical work including in data handling and analyses, and with experience or output in the areas mentioned.

Note:
Candidates having educational qualification in social sciences as mentioned above will be considered for their engagement. Relaxation in age limit of the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and women shall be provided as per the Government rule.

The maximum duration for which a Project Assistant could be engaged would be about
Two years or co-terminus with duration of the project /project activity. The performance of the project assistants would be reviewed periodically and if not found up to the mark would be terminated or replaced.
