Central Inland Fisheries research Institute and its regional Centers, in the
prescribed format, neatly typed on one side of the paper indicating on the
envelope “Application for the post of

Assistant Administrative Officer

GENERAL CONDITIONS

1. The number of post(s) advertised is tentative. It may decrease or increase as per the actual position at the time of filling up.

2. The prescribed essential qualifications are minimum and enhanced qualification does not entitle candidate(s) to be called for written test/interview. Where the number of applications received for a particular position in response to the advertisement is large and it is not convenient for the Institute to call all the candidates for interview, the Director, CIFRI, Barrackpore reserves the right to hold a written exam for short listing candidates. The Institute may conduct the Written Exam / Skilled Test / Interview either at CIFRI, Barrackpore or at its any one Regional Centres. No TA/DA shall be admissible to any candidate for appearing in the said exam/interview.

3. Those who desire to apply for more than one post, should apply for each post separately. Persons already in employment should route their application(s) through proper channel.

4. The posts are pensionable as per the new pension scheme. The service conditions are mutatis-mutandis as applicable to Central Govt. employees.

5. Applications should be submitted in the proforma appended strictly type-written accompanied by latest pass-port size photograph, self attested and pasted on the form. Applicants are directed to submit one more copy of pass-port size photograph with the application.

6. Crucial date for determining the age limit of candidates for the different posts is 01.01.2010.

7. Candidates are necessarily required to enclose along with their applications Self attested copies of (i) Matriculation Certificate in support of Date of Birth (ii) Certificate for SC/ST/OBC (if any), strictly in the prescribed Govt of India format and issued by the prescribed authority (iii) Certificate(s) in support of required educational and other essential qualifications

8. Application fees in form of a valid Bank Draft for Rs. 200/- in favour of ICAR-unit, CIFRI, Barrackpore and payable at Barrackpore / Kolkata, is required to be submitted with the application. Only SC/ST candidates are exempt from paying the fees.

9. Interested candidates should submit their application(s) in the prescribed proforma in favour of the Chief Administrative Officer, Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute (ICAR), Barrackpore, Kolkata – 700 120 so as to reach the Office latest by 20.01.2011.

10. Applications received after the due date for any reason including postal delay will not be entertained. Incomplete applications(s) and those applications which do not contain required certificates/documents or without requisite fees will also be summarily rejected.
