Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), inviting application for the post of SRF



Title of the Project: “Phenomics of moisture deficit and low temperature stress tolerance in rice”.

Funding: National Fund for Basic Strategic and Frontier Application Research in Agriculture (NFBSFARA), ICAR, New Delhi.

Qualification:M.Sc. in Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Microbiology or any branch of Life Sciences.

Desirable: Experience in tissue culture, development and analysis of transgenic plants

Age limit: 35 years for men and 40 years for women

1. Age limit for SRF is maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women
2. The fellowship is purely temporary position and initially for the period of one year, which will be extended based on the satisfactory performance of the SRF. The total duration of project is 5 years (Feb 2011 to Dec 2015) and the positions are purely temporary on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project.
3. The ICAR/IARI holds no responsibility for his/her regularization/appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular posts or termination of the project as it is purely temporary, time bound arrangement on Co-terminus basis on satisfactory performance. The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the period given in the sanction.
4. Since the engagement of the manpower in the project is purely time-bound and non-regular and also not against any sanctioned vacancy/cadre strength/post/position, the service provisions for regular post including reservations will not be applicable.
5. The biodata with full particulars i.e. passport size photograph (attested), Certificates for academic qualifications (attested copies of 10th, 12th, and degree certificates), experience certificate, NOC from the previous employer, publications, etc. must be submitted before 11.00AM on the date of the interview. Candidates should bring original certificates for verification. Biodata should be prepared in the proforma given below. Candidate should bring four copies of biodata.
6. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates appearing for the interview.
